Leslie Grimm: Chocolate Chip Cookies

I made these cookies with Ellen Schaefer before our HouseHold Lord's day, in which we had Greek food and dressed up in togas. Yes, for just the five of us. I had the company of the wonderful Kim Warner whom I've actually met now, as opposed to when we were both pretending we'd met each other when we really had no freaking clue who we were talking to. Now, what exactly occurs on a women's HH on Lord's day? (Besides being interrupted multiple times by Kimberly Allen - oh wait, that happens to everyone) Why, watching Jenna Marbles youtube videos of course! And you know, praying and stuff.

HouseHold Dinner: Three-Bean Chicken Chili

I never thought I'd be able to say it but...our HH is running smoothly. We've had every dinner, every morning prayer, done all our chores. Groceries are in the fridge, Women's groups are being attended, and God is so clearly visible to me in each and every one of these girls. I found I got mad at myself while making this dinner, because I didn't think it was good enough for these lovely ladies. And to think God has infinitely more to give us, because what we cling to now isn't good enough in His eyes! I've got to keep on keepin' on, to give my Sisters everything I've got <3

Aso Hama: Chocolate Almond Cheesecake

Wondering why there is a picture of leaves? Why, for chocolate leaf garnishes of course! I made this beautiful creation in the company of Genevieve Richardson, while she read aloud to me her oh-so-riveting history textbook. The gorgeous Leslie Grimm graced us momentarily with her presence, while I simultaneously smooshed graham crackers, and attempted to keep a hungry kitten from leaping into my cheesecake pan. Who knew cats liked cream cheese? Last night was UCO, and my friend Kelsee came to her second-ever meeting, and already brought a friend! I got to be on music team for the first time ever, and I get to give a talk at the upcoming FIF retreat. Praise Him!

HouseHold Dinner: Cherry-Walnut Quinoa

It's been so long since I've had to cook, thanks to college dorm food (bleh), but I'm pretty much thrilled that I now have four people to cook for on a semi-regular basis. My lovely housemate Kathleen sent me this recipe, which I adapted a teensy bit, but everyone seemed to like it. Since it's my HouseHold, I'm pretty sure I can take their word for it, unlike La Krem, because apparently their HH is built on a web of lies and deceit :P

Mike Darga: Fresh Strawberry Pie

First off the list folks! I used the Betty Crocker recipe, and made it while my housemate, Christine, made M&M cookies for our two guys households. Our lovely neighbor Christina Munk was walking her new puppy, Stella, outside the kitchen window, so we did a little dance for her which she graciously reciprocated. Finished the pie just in time for UCO, where I used part of my testimony to promote our upcoming Fan into Flame retreat! Also the pictures are all going to be of the actual desserts, not off google :P
